Our family has embarked on virtual travels to various countries and regions. To explore these countries and their cultures, we have followed along with the festivals, cooked and eaten traditional foods, learned of traditional handicrafts with hands on exploration, along with many activities to immerse ourselves. Chronicled here are some of these activities.

Our Weekend In a Nutshell

With the Lunar New Year this past Friday, this weekend was our last "in China". We celebrated quietly, making dumplings together (and enjoying them with tea), doing some brush painting, and reading the last of our folktales. The girls were quite happy to receive their money packets :)

Tests were studied for, a debate was prepared for, and a performance for school practiced. The girls were busy! We are also (slowly) getting ready to update their bedrooms - apparently 3 to 4 years makes a difference on what a tween/teen will appreciate!

Though we said our farewells to China, I'll be spending the rest of the week finishing up posts related to what we have learned. In time for Black History Month, next weekend we will begin our journey to West Africa. I hope you'll join us!
